Add a story to the backlog

There are several ways to create a new user story in the backlog. 

Add a story to the bottom of the backlog

You can always add a new user story to the bottom of the backlog by clicking on the [+New story] button at the bottom of the list.

Type in the title of the story and press Enter to save.

Add a story anywhere in the backlog

You can add a new story above or below to an existing story of the Backlog and Planbox sections. Please note, that you can't add a story to the On board section because stories that are on a team's board are under the control of the team and are managed from the board view.

To add a user story above or below an existing story in the backlog, move your mouse over a story. A floating button will follow your mouse pointer on the left side of the backlog. If you hover over the button, a thin blue line will indicate the position of the new story. 

Click on the button to add a new story. 

Type in the name of the story and press Enter to save.

Keyboard shortcuts to create a new story

To use keyboard shortcuts, select a story in the backlog by clicking on the left side of the story. 

Once a story is selected, us any of the following keyboard shortcuts.

• Create a new story above the selected story 

• Create a new story below the selected story  or
