Assign or remove tags from stories

Assign a tag to a story on a story card

To assign an existing tag to a story on a story card, select the Tags section of a story card if there are no tags assigned to the story yet, or click on “+Add tag”.

Select the tag from the drop-down list you want to assign to the story. You can start typing the tag name to narrow down the drop-down list.

Assign a tag to multiple stories

You can drop a tag from the Tags panel to a single story in the backlog or on the board.

In the backlog, you can add a tag to many stories at once.

Select multiple stories in the backlog (by holding down the Shift key, or the Ctrl/Cmd keys while clicking on stories)

Drop a tag to any of the selected stories to assign it to all selected stories

Remove a tag from a story

On an opened story card, click the (X) icon on the right side of the tag.

Remove a tag from multiple stories

You can remove a tag from many stories in the backlog.

Select multiple stories in the backlog (by holding down the Shift key, or the Ctrl/Cmd keys while clicking on stories)

On the tags panel, open the “…more” menu of the tag you want to remove from the selected stories

Click on ‘Remove tag from selected stories’ option
