Create a New Tag and Tag Category

There are two ways to create a tag. You can add a new tag to a story card and create a new tag on the tags panel.

Create a tag on the Story Card

To create a new tag on a story card, click on the tag button at the bottom of the card, or press the [G] key. Start typing the name of the tag. Press the Enter key, or type a comma to create the tag. Tag names can contain spaces, but they must not contain semicolons, colons or commas.

Open the Tags panel

Click on “+ New tag”

Type in the name of the new tag and press Enter to save

There are two ways to create a tag. You can add a new tag to a story card and create a new tag on the tags panel.

Create a new tag with a category on a story card

You can create a new tag with a new category on a story card. To create a tag with a new tag category, type the category name, a colon and the tag name into the tags field of the story card. Example: “My tag category: Tag within the category”.

Open the Tags panel

Click on “category” on the “+New tag or category” label

Type in the name of the new tag and press Enter to save

Add a new tag to an existing tag category on a story card

On the tags section of the story card, start typing the name of a tag category

Select the category name from the drop-down list

Press the “TAB” key to auto-fill the category name

Type in the name of the tag within the category and press Enter.

You can create a new tag right within a tag category.

Open the Tags panel

Open the “… More” menu of the tag category

Select “+ New tag”

Type in the name of the new tag and press Enter to save
